R:Evolution 3.0 ‘Festival of Ideas’, is an event uniquely positioned by its founder, TrueStart as the intersection between retailers, brands, entrepreneurs, influencers and investors. Taking place in the heart of Shoreditch, East London, over 500 people attended the 2016 event, hosted by Sophie Hackford of Wired Consulting.
Two incredible keynote speakers kicked off the day’s proceedings, both having flown in especially from the US. Up first was Mike Jones, CEO of Science Inc. (former CEO of Myspace and initial backer of Dollar Shave Club). He was followed by Allison Johnson, Founder of West, and Former VP of marketing communications at Apple, 2005 – 2011, where she was responsible for the launch of the iPhone and iPad.
The rest of the afternoon consisted of four think tanks, focusing on a wide range of themes from Retail Tech, Fundraising, Customer Centric Omnichannel and Growth Disruption, followed by a TrueStart Dragon’s Den, where start-ups pitched to the audience in a bid to secure their places for an investment programme.
Aviary Creative was tasked with creating the look and feel for the Festival of Ideas, and all associated communications for the event. This included creating promotional marketing and sales packs in the run up to the event for attracting sponsorship, right up to branding the event space itself.
We worked closely with a major London live events company to bring our branding to life on the day, which included laser cut signage and lettering, hanging banners, scrolling lightbox graphics, projections, a lanyard which doubled as the agenda, presentation templates and a live scrolling social media feed appearing on screens all around the event.
Feedback from the event has been exceptional and planning for next year’s event is already underway.
