For over 30 years, Doctor in the House have specialised in providing first rate bed and breakfast accommodation, for any length of stay, for medical, academic, professional and business visitors to London. In a similar model to AirBnB, accommodation is in privately owned houses or self-contained flats of exceptional quality, offering a very comfortable environment, but at very affordable rates. Doctor in the House prides itself in its bespoke service and discretion, based on personal recommendations.
We were asked to refresh their logo, and created an iconic house silhouette to hold a new wordmark. A range of colours were applied to the logo to give the identity a fresh and approachable feel. In addition, a range of marketing collateral was produced with the new logo, from printed leaflets to interactive PDF forms, along with creating their first online booking portal microsite. The microsite, in conjunction with their sister company City Home Stay, allows hosts (the property owners) to manage their own properties by adding photos, maps and descriptions of their property and the surrounding area. These are then sent via secure links to potential guests.
The microsite design was kept clean and simple to use for both the host and guest, while also being fully responsive to allow guests to view on their mobile device. A comprehensive CMS was also constructed in the back-end to enable easy upload of all content.
In the first 6 months, the introduction of the site has seen a 25% increase in new bookings, and a greater number of repeat bookings from existing clients.
